MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMIC OVERSIGHT AT THE AGRIFOOD COMPANY
75 horas
This course aims to provide an approach, from an eminently practical point of view, to the implementation of a cost system in an agri-food company. To this end, we will delve into the understanding of the income statement as a mechanism for extracting information from it beyond the mere accounting data it provides.
Through this programme, you will be able to understand the interconnection that emanates from the accounting itself with the information we obtain from the management tools that the company has implemented. In this way, you will have the knowledge for effective decision-making and, above all, to know the strengths and weaknesses in terms of the various branches of activity carried out by the company.

admission process
Description
The agri-food sector has played a significant role in the Spanish economy throughout history. However, it faces important challenges related to profitability and efficiency. Therefore, this course provides the opportunity to update knowledge and optimise the management and control of costs to achieve established goals.
This course deals in detail with the design, control and management of an operating budget for fruit and vegetable companies, considering it as an essential tool for understanding and controlling structural costs. In addition, during the course, the education of agricultural prices will be explored in depth from the perspective of the fruit and vegetable centre, analysing in detail the costs involved in order to improve the farmer's profitability.
Participants will also analyse a real case to understand how a labour cost system is designed, implemented, managed and controlled in an agri-food company. Finally, students will explore the practical usefulness of cost control and knowledge, including the analysis of investments within a company and the implementation of target-based salaries to improve operational efficiency.
Objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Manage the profit and loss account and design the budget as analytical tools for knowledge and cost control.
- Learn to break down the agricultural price as a mechanism for locating the various types of cost.
- Design, implement, manage and control a system of labour costs in a fruit and vegetable plant.
- Learn to assess investments and implement a system of target-based salaries using the cost calculation tool.
Methodology
The work plan is described below:
1. Theoretical presentations are combined with practical sessions, so that the application of the theory and its results can be seen.
2. Participants will carry out and present practical cases based on situations that arise, with the aim of applying the knowledge acquired, as well as enhancing their capacity for analysis and decision-making.
